Great game very cool so much fun and extremely addicting. Sadly the unity engine once agains bugs the game making irritating play ------- .If you leave the game it freezes when you come back .Cant move units on the Berlin mission .Freezes a lot ----------------- add- more units more missions single player game play map building sandbox mode

Awesome advance wars like game for ipad, only problem is it has "stuck" a few levels in and wont move forward - even after back up and restore of new ipad. Recommended purchase if fixed!

This seems to have so much potential to be a really cute turn based tactics game, but unfortunately it crashes so constantly I cant properly judge the gameplay. I barely made it through the tutorial and have yet to complete the first mission. I hope an update fixes some of the bugs (the screen also appears to not size properly so some information is always cut off of the edges of the screen) because if it worked properly, this could be a sweet little tactics game! Edit: since the latest update, it now instantly crashes when I try to open the game. Wont play at all. :(

Since I added new update, everytime I try to play game it goes down.it was a game I enjoyed every day now I cant get in it.i have on my other ipad the game before the newest update wks good ,on my mini ipad since I added the update u just release wont work.please fix your error.

It is a strategy game about the Second War. We can control our army fighting against the German army. It is a great challenge to win the battle without death. And we can play it with our friends on the internet or by using the same device. We all like to play this game.

Basically a direct copy of advance wars, only set in world war 2. The game itself is decent, but Im giving it a low rating because its incredibly short and riddled with bugs. Bug examples: if you get impatient with the slow animations and want to skip, the menu button is the same size, color, and location as the skip button. If you hit the menu button accidentally before it goes into the battle animation, you have to force quit the app. Another bug example: you cant get 3 stars on some missions (operation overlord, for example). Even on replay with no casualties, I got 3 stars the second time through, but the stars werent awarded on the campaign map. Yet another bug: occasionally number indicators from some sprites persist in one location even after moving a unit. I wouldve rated the app higher, but these are really amateurish mistakes. Also, on the bigger missions it takes a couple minutes for the ai to take its turn. Not worth $3. Maybe $1.

I like this game.. I played a couple of people in multiplayer.. but now to take my turn, the game just sits there trying to connect, so i cannot even take my turn in that mode! I have deleted app and re-installed it, but it still wont connect in multiplayer! This has been going on for months... it needs fixed! I will change star rating when you fix these bugs.

Closest thing to Advance Wars Ive found in six years of searching. Absolute must-have for true fans like me.

My wife and I tried to play multiplayer game but the game invitations wont send .we eventually got into a game but I cant move any of my units also after ending the turn it wont recognize that the move is over on the other phone

Fun game. A great clone of Advance Wars. Unfortunately, its very buggy and unpolished. Bad grammar, letter kerning, and writing make this game feel amateurish. Please fix it!

This is a great tactical game in the vein of Advance Wars. (Note: it is NOT a knockoff. The genre is older than AW, and this doesnt have COs nor their powers.) You command a variety of units in a WWII setting in the European theatre. The units are interesting and diverse, so the rock-paper-scissors of this genre is in tact. There are also units of similar design but different function (e.g. infantry vs. mech). The production facilities are also different from AW so that you have a barracks separate from a factory. The unit balance is acceptable. Unfortunately, you cannot check damage before committing to a move. If you move, you move. You then have the choice of attacking or not, and you may move all your units before attacking with another unit. Not being able to check damage is slightly annoying, but being able to move other units around before attacking with one is convenient, where perhaps one unit is in anothers way, but you want the second unit to attack first. You move the first, move and attack with the second, then attack with the first. Multiplayer is barebones, and part of that is the small community of players currently playing. It functions, and I have hopes it improves in the future. This is a genre long overdue on mobile devices, and with Front Wars, we finally have a glimmer of hope that it has arrived.

Let me start by saying the game play is good and very AW like. Pros: Love the correct damage percentages on the enemy that are already at reduced power. Vast improvement over AW. Interesting that you can capture territories while inside transport craft Interesting that cities that you have tried to capture remain partially captured until you come back to finish. Cons : buggy program. Game Center gameplay is exceptionally buggy. I cant completely remove all battle animation like I can in AW. No CO powers or COs for that matter. Only a few levels in the campaign mode. Make a second version or make more levels for us. You are on to something brilliant!

I normally dont write reviews, but when I came across this game I felt compelled to do so. I should start off by saying that I am a huge fan of Nintendos Advance Wars so it was nice to come across this nice little alternative. Most of the elements in this game mirror AW and it does a well job by never crashing like many other games on ios. There are no commanding officers in this game, so you dont get the unique powers for choosing different armies. This game is set in the Second World War and you play as the allies against the axis. Very fun gameplay, and also addicting, but a problem with the gameplay to bring up is THERE IS NO OPTION TO SPEED UP THE MOVEMENT OF YOUR UNITS like in AW. Whenever you select a unit and move it to a desired location, your unit chugs along very slowly which slows your turn down DRAMATICALLY. This is why I didnt give 5/5 stars....This should be an easy fix though and it would make me more than happy to see an update resolving this issue. Everything else about the game is awesome though. GREAT POTENTIAL!

We finally have a substitute for Advance Wars. One great aspect of this app is that its being continually tweaked and expanded. I finished the first version the same day I got it. Fortunately, they keep adding battles. One concern: I cannot determine the best way to get 3 stars for certain battles. Is it the number of turns, the lack of lost units or is it about capturing the enemy HQ? Great game!

Please add fog of war and weather settings for multiplayer. Multiplayer AI is excruciatingly easy, please allow player to increase difficulty. Game play is good, online play is smooth.

You should do a pacific theatre. Battleships destroyers aircraft carriers. You guys should also make a mode that you can build maps like the old advanced wars where you can set up barracks ports and warehouses etc. Maybe add some japanese military too. When the skirmish scenes come can you guys change the background so when they battle if youre in woods its in the background or on the street etc. I love the game though. Hope you guys are working on more! Cant wait!

A fun little game that brings back the fond memories of Advanced Wars. A few terrain maps are uneven in multiplayer mode. But still too soon to tell. Problem in the online head to head play: random "unknown" opponents keep popping up and you cant remove them from the list even if you surrender.

Highly addicted game. Reminds me of advanced wars at GBA. However, the new updates of this game makes lag all the time. Please fix again the bug.

Being an avid player of Advance Wars for Nintendo for years, I have anxiously awaited an app along those lines. This is a great first pass!
