This game doesnt start on my iPad 2 (iOS 6.1.3), iPhone 4 (iOS 6.1.3) and iPod Touch 5 (iOS 6.1) Please fix it.

Reminds me of advanced wars. Some of the later levels get quite tricky. Great app!

As I expected this "homage" to Advance Wars is loaded with bugs and design oversights, which will hopefully be fixed by the author in future patches. Mechanics seem to be in place, just needs that extra coat of polish that makes a game professional. In time this app could very well replicate the greatness of that series. I spent my $3 giving this app a chance to hopefully send a message to Nintendo and Intelligent Systems: that gamers want this game on their Apple products! If a near perfect port of a 13 year old GBA game finds its way to the app store I would gladly pay $20 for it. If its by Nintendo or IS Ill pay even more! Just raising my voice as a consumer. For the author, solid effort man. Please keep polishing this game and people will pay attention to it.

I especially like the feature where I can play against my friend.

The idea is interesting but fixes are definitively required (keep getting "cannot find unit 0" on first map trying to attack a unit - which cost me some of my units in return). AI needs to be improved as well (enemy infantry attacking tanks unit and got completely destroyed of course). Wont play the game until fixed.

On level seven by them time you start to get the upper hand the AI player gets stuck making its next move. It happens over and over and I can only get to the same point. I wish there was a fast forward button for when the AI player is making its move. Not a bad game otherwise but is very frustrating when it doesnt work.

Good strategy game. You can play against other player ;-). Graphic are pretty beautiful !

Remains me "advance wars" but in a wwII scenario. Great game overall... Fully recommended!!

It is for sure just like advance wars, but advance wars was more polished. This is a work in progress and im glad to see it gets updated quite a bit. Subtle things like having units turn in the directions they are moving instead of just sliding around would be nice. Having the background for fight cutscenes actually have mountains or forests if your units or in those areas like in advance wars. Also better sound effects might be mice also they do sound more 8-bit which would be fine if the graphics were like that. The game is not too far off from being perfect. Looking forward to updates.

Very nice game but it has some problems. When I open it the orientation of the image is reversed. Even if I change my iPad orientation it just rotate again, eventually, sometimes I can play it. We should be able to disable attack animations.

This game is fantastic. Reminds me of advance wars. Only problem being it is not optimized for iPhone 6 and 6 plus. Could we please see an update? Maybe iCloud syncing as well?

My favorite turn-based strategy game on my ipad! Clearly inspired by Advance Wars but much easier to navigate and play on the ipad than on a Nintendo console. Lots of levels too. After completing the Allied campagne I purchased the Axis one as well and both are a blast. Probably 15 hours+ worth of gameplay - tremendous value and really refreshing vs this annoying free to play trend so many other games follow these days. AAA+++!!!

Once I reached the level titled Commando i was lost. Ive captured the base but the game continues. Is it a glitch or am I missing somethings?

I dont know why nobody found this gem in the Russian AppStore yet.

Good idea, as advance wars great game, but still many bugs (expecially for 3,99€) please fix them!!

This is a fun game with a lot of potential for replayability except for the fact that the pinch to zoom does not work after a while. It makes is very difficult to control the play action as the boards are too large and the pieces are microscopic. Unless this is fixed, there are other similar games that are both less expensive and more playable.

If you like either a good turn based WWII or advanced war games this game is meant for you. The only thing I wish the developer could do is add more countrys to play as like Italy, England, Japan and soviet Russia.

I had a few gripes, but the update made a good game better.

Loved Advance Wars and have been looking for a similar game since I first got my iPhone (then iPad). Mecho Wars, while the gameplay is spot on, I find the characters and styling confusing and it was frustrating for me trying to tell my troops apart. I need tanks, soldiers, helicopters, etc. I just purchased Front Wars and this seems to have exactly what I want, military stylings with AW gameplay. My biggest frustration, however, is that the game is woefully buggy. I couldnt even finish the first mission. I got the "could not locate unit 0" error. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!! Second is, the dialog boxes in the tutorial run off the screen or cover over the characters below obscuring what you are supposed to be looking at. Im hoping that these are version 1.0 issues that will be worked out as the game seems to have great potential. As of this moment, however, I can not recommend that anyone purchase it. Once these issues are fixed I will gladly do so. Fix the bugs and Ill give 4-5 stars.
